5Linx Compensation Plan Review - In Laymans Terms

The 5Linx compensation plan is really something that you need to study hard to really understand it. But luckily for you Im going to dumb it down so that you can make an educated decision on whether or not the 5Linx compensation plan is a good or great one.

Im going to breakdown the foundation of the compensation plan and Ill highlight where youll make the most money.

The two levels you can join 5Linx are fairly reasonable. Become a Customer Representative at $99 or an Independent Marketing Representative (IMR) for the low price of $499.

When you join as a Customer Representative, youll be severly limited in earning money unless you upgrade or qualify as an IMR. Obviously, you must choose IMR if youre looking to join 5Linx and make the most money.

Leadership Ranking
After IMR you can rise up through the ranks of 5Linx by acquiring and maintaining different levels of customer points. The rankings are as follows: Executive Trainer, Executive Director, National Director, Senior Vice President (SVP) and Platinum Senior Vice President (PSVP).

Making the most money in 5Linx will occur at the PSVP level. The formula will be the same prospect, recruit and train.

Different Ways to Earn
Bounty bonuses, monthly residual, weekly customer acquisition bonuses, open-line promotional bonuses, customer bonus pool, revenue pool, SVP incentive bonuses and PSVP pool.

Open-Line vs. Generational Payouts
As far as bonuses go, just recruit and retail and youll earn them. Theres nothing special there. The confusing part about this compensation plan is the open-line vs. generational payouts. Open-line means that in 5Linx if you dont have anyone that is at your equivalent rank, you are paid all of the commission for all of the levels in-between.

Clearly overrides are your best chance at success, but that success will come at the expense of other peoples failures.

For example: (A - You B- Not Filled C - Not Filled D - IMR) If D sells something, you get the commission that would have been paid from A, B and C.

Generational payouts come into play when people in your downline start to acheive the same ranking as you. Since theyre in your downline, you cannot earn the same commission percentatge that you used to enjoy because in effect, you are splitting the commissions from the downline. So whats the motivation to train? The incentive is that you both are sharing commission from the same customer points. Thus, you are both working together to make more money.

Whats the incentive for the upline with the equivalent rank? The 5Linx compensation plan isnt clear on how member of the team with an equivalent rank is treated in terms of total percentage commission. But from what I gather, this compensation plan is really rewarding the highest ranking leaders for taking a large commission drop.

Heres the thing though, with 5Linx it is in your best interest to move hard and fast because of the high failure rate in MLM, youll be able to earn a ton of override commissions. Just something to think about.
