These minor details are why there are hotels and then THERE ARE HOTELS. The hotels that fit under the latter are those that take your breath away the second you see them and are those that leave you with an unforgettable experience.

1. RiadFes Maya in Fes, Morocco
The very first time you step into the inner courtyard of Riad Fes Maya, your heart might stop. The elegant wood carvings and gorgeous Moorish tiles will make you feel as though you just stepped into a piece of Moroccan history. Their rooms are just as enchanting and equally mind-blowing. If you ask anyone who's lodged into Hotel Belmar why they love this place, they'll either tell you it's because of the lush cloud forest that is everywhere, or the waterfall, or even the sun deck where you can relax as you stare at the nearby serene spring water pond.
