Its not that hard either. Night club promoters have some of the most entertaining and exciting lifestyles. But dont get confused, it requires a lot of work as well. A lot of people get intimidated or dont know where to start. They worry that theyre not "cool" enough or dont know enough people to get going. The truth is, ANYONE can get started as a nightclub promoter. It just takes a little persistence and talking to the right people. Here are some basic steps that YOU can take to becoming a nightclub promoter: 1. Become a regular at local clubs and bars. Get to know the current promoters who work there. Promoters are always looking for other promoters to help them out and work under them. Talk to some of these guys and one of them is bound to throw you a rope. 2. Meet tons of people. The truth is, youre not worth your weight in the promoting business if you cant get people through that door. Not only do you need to MEET a ton of people, but you need to build enough rapport with them to get them to go where you want them to. 3. Go to managers or owners directly. Check out smaller venues or sports bars or college bars. Talk to the managers directly. These venues are always struggling on weeknights. So if you can plan an event for a Tuesday or Wednesday and get guarantee that 40+ people will show up, theyll pay you well for it. Promoting is actually harder than it sounds, but that doesnt mean it isnt still a ton of fun. It takes a lot of diligence, persistence and dedication. You have to genuinely enjoy people and want to live an exciting social life. But thats not much to ask, right? Waking up at 1pm, getting free drinks, free tables and having office hours of 10pm to 3am can be an awesome lifestyle. But I didnt have to tell you that.
