In 2002 the former Richardson President and CEO John Heitkamp sold Richardson Engineering to Aspen Technologies, he then worked with Aspen Tech until he retired in 2004. In 2007 he created the company Cost Data Online Inc. and re-acquired from AspenTech the Richardson product line, and through www.costdataonline.com "this is the new way of delivering to our users the Richardson products, or with our CD-ROM version" Halicki went on to say. In the past Richardson clients would access our data via hard copy, the Richardson General Construction Manuals, and although we no longer offer a hardcopy version, the data updated of course and man-hours are in the same format as they were in the years and decades past.
