The upcoming 2009 Alto will be rolled out with fresh cosmetic changes. The major changes will be witnessed on the front fascia of the car and the top-end variant of the car will come with dual-tone interiors. Expected to roll out with a 796cc petrol engine the 2009 Alto will be priced between Rs 2.5 Lakh to Rs 3.5 Lakh. 2009 Maruti Suzuki WagonR Maruti Suzuki Wagon will undergo modification to keep its look fresh and anew. The structure and style of the car wont be modified but it will have a new bumper, redefined headlamps, and a honeycomb mesh grille. The heart of the 2009 WagonR will either have the same 1.1-litre engine of the existing variant or the powerful 1.0-litre engine from the Alto. The car is likely to roll out during the festive season of Diwali this year with an estimated price range of Rs 3.5 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakh. Mitsubishi Colt Like the other car manufacturers Mitsubishi is also trying to share the small car segment with the launch of Mitsubishi Colt. The Colt will come to India with the nose of the Evolution X and a 74 bhp 1.1-litre petrol engine. It will also have an optional 95 bhp 1.5-litre Di-D engine that is developed by Mercedes. The boot space and rear space will be less as compared to other small cars in the industry but yet the Colt will have the best of features to entice small car buyers in the country. The Mitsubishi Colt will be rolled out on Indian roads by third quarter of 2009 with a price range of Rs 4.5 Lakh to Rs 6 Lakh. Chevrolet Beat Chevrolet Beat is another small car from General Motors that will roll out on Indian roads by third quarter of 2009 with an estimated price tag of Rs 5 Lakh. The car will be designed in South Korea and manufactured in India probably at General Motors Talegaon plant. The Beat concept made its first debut at the 2007 New York Auto Show. The car in India will roll out with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and will be positioned between Spark and Aveo. In the later years the car may even get an optional engine of 1.0-litre engine.
